Vision Resource has also completed a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) in the Tete province of Mozambique on its thermal coal project, which focuses on the development of a 1.2 million tonnes per annum mining operation with coal being transported by barge and then on to an established coal trans-shipment location.

Tete Coal Project is a 10,000 Ha concession and with an exploration target ranging from 200 - 440 million tonnes* of high quality coal.

Historical exploration works include over 5,000 metres of drilling with seven main interpreted coal seams, ranging from 0.5 - 3.5m thickness. Production of up to 1Mtpa is targeted to commence in 2012, with planned ramp up to 2Mtpa in 2013. The Project's location makes it ideal for 5000t barge haulage. The Project targets very high quality thermal coal with coking properties.
